Total Media
(TMI) in Clearwater, Florida had a simple request... "Get
our site RANKED!"
They
had been in business for a couple years, but their web site
was pulling in less than 10 unique visitors per day on average.
They had received a handful of calls from visitors to their
web site since the site had been in existence.
The
size of the graphics on their pages was too large so I optimized
the index page and dropped the load time to 15 seconds (over
a 56k modem) which is the recommended load time (maximum).
I
researched their keywords and their competition for those
keywords and found the top 50 or 60 keywords to target and
optimize the pages of their site for.
I
optimized their existing pages and created over 30 new pages
for them that were optimized for speed of download, keywords,
and text. I added pages that were dedicated to products
and services that were different from what they already had
on the site to extend their range. There were lots of
people searching on DVD burners, so I added a couple pages
on the topic because TMI was open to selling them if they
ever had customers for DVD Burners!
Within
a month and a half I saw that they were getting an average
of over 300 unique visitors per day.
I
just received an email from them today:
"Our
site is getting over 1k visitors a day. At least
10 calls a day come from the web-site. Appreciate
it -D"
